LegalAlso: Notarised power of attorney
Poder notarial
A notarised power of attorney allowing a third party to sign on your behalf.
The poder notarial is a power of attorney drawn up before a notary authorising a trusted person to act in your name, for example to sign the sale or the purchase. It is very useful for non-residents who cannot travel.
When drawn up abroad, it usually has to be apostilled and translated to be valid in Spain.
For the seller
If you cannot be present on the signing day, a notarised power of attorney lets a representative sell the property on your behalf.
