Comisión inmobiliaria
The estate agency's fee, in Spain usually paid by the seller.
The comisión inmobiliaria is the agency's fee for marketing the property and guiding the sale. In Spain it is most often paid by the seller and commonly runs at around 3 to 5% of the price, plus IVA.
Its amount and the services it covers are negotiable and set out in the mandate signed with the agency.
For the seller
This commission is deducted from your sale proceeds; compare what it includes — photos, listing exposure, viewings, negotiation — rather than the percentage alone.
