Escritura pública
The authentic deed of sale signed before a notary that transfers ownership.
The escritura pública de compraventa is the notarial deed that formalises the transfer of ownership. Signed before a Spanish notary by the seller and the buyer, it carries the payment of the balance of the price, the handover of the keys and the registration at the Land Registry.
It is the document that gives the sale full legal force.
