The home's utilities — water, electricity and gas — to be transferred or cancelled at the sale.

Suministros are the home's utility contracts: electricity, water, gas and sometimes internet. When a property is sold, they must be transferred into the buyer's name or cancelled and reopened.

Changing the account holder requires the meter references and, in some regions, a habitability certificate.

Plan to hand over the latest meter readings and to handle the change of account holder; keeping the meters active makes the transition easier for the buyer.
