Comunidad de propietarios
A homeowners' association grouping the owners of a building to manage the common areas.
The comunidad de propietarios is the co-ownership structure that brings together the owners of a building or a development to manage and maintain the common areas. It votes a budget and works at a general meeting.
Each owner pays charges, the gastos de comunidad, in proportion to their share, known as the coeficiente.
For the seller
The buyer will require a certificate confirming that you are up to date with your community charges; any arrears must be cleared before signing.
